    So visting #Magnatune for the first time in many years it looks like their business model is now crazy. On the plus side the site works in a Tor browser without any #cloudflare crap and the player works, which is the main thing. However, you can't download individual albums or pay for them individually. You can only subscribe and on hitting the subscribe link the only option is to pay $300 to download all the goddamn things for all eternity. Chances are that I don't want to pay some large amount to download absolutely everything. Probably I've just browsed around, like an album and want to download it.

    I also notice that they resumed talking over tracks, which is annoying enough to go over the "I don't like this site" threshold.

    I don't remember why I stopped listening to Magnatune, but it was probably for the above reasons. Some of the music they have on there is actually quite nice, but just spoiled by the crazy business model.

    Here's the thing: if you fear #Tor so much that you want to block access from it, put up a message to its visitors stating that. Don't instead feign an error message or pretend that something with the connection went wrong, which can confuse the user into thinking your site is down ("Unable to connect", "The connection has timed out").

    I'm tired of receiving "errors" like these lately only to use a webproxy like Anonymouse.org to quickly unmask the intention of the admin. I mean, what good does lying do in this case? Just fucking say it. Even a shitty #Cloudflare captcha is better than a misleading error message.
